BAD IDEA

DANIEL LERRO- GUITAR & VOCALS

Dan is an American guitarist/singer/songwriter. Dan has been in a handful of bands until 2011 when he & his fellow band mates, Alan Hoke & Bob S, branched out on their own and began writing and recording their music. Dan, stepping out of his comfort zone of playing guitar & backup vocals, became the lead singer and guitarist of Bad Idea. During their time together, Dan overcame many surgeries.

From breaking his neck and having his median nerve severed to stopping a savage dog fight leaving him almost paralysed. It look as though he would never play again. He not only overcame these injuries, but wrote some of his best material due to these occurrences. All of these unfortunate incidents have made him spiritually stronger and more confident in his music. Dan will always write and pursue his dreams.

The best is yet to come!

ALAN HOKE-DRUMS & VOCALS

Alan Hoke is an American drummer who's influences are Neil Peart, Stuart Copeland and John Bonham.

As a juvenile, he's played in band's such as Prophecy, Alibi and Mystical Force. During the 90's, he was the drummer for Gun Shy. In 2006, he joined The Band V with fellow musicians Dan & Bob. Now, a
resident member of Bad Idea, he feels this band has put forth some of it's best material yet.

He's a lover of Music, Women, Art and Mexican Food. If you'd like to know more about Alan, come to one of our shows and he'll tell you!

NORMAN VOSKO-BASS

Norman is the senior member of Bad Idea. Born in Montreal, Canada on January 17, 1952, he grew up through the best era of music ever, the 60’s and 70’s. After seeing The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 and then at their live concert the same year in Montreal, he was hooked. Norman joined his first band, A Patch of Blue, in 1967 at 15 years old. After playing in several other local Montreal bands, he joined an “almost famous” California band called The Wackers in 1973. After mild success in Canada, Norman decided to hang up his 1973 Fender Telecaster Bass and get a real job. He was a successful business owner for over 40 years before an accidental meeting with Dan Lerro, which resulted in an audition with Bad Idea. After pleading and begging for them to let him join, they finally relented. He is considered by many of his peers to be a “mediocre” bass player, which for this band is more than adequate. He loves his wife, his kids, his grandkids, his dog and his band mates.

BOB S-RECORDER

Bob was born unto his parents, after the Vernal Equinox, during the late 20th century. He learned to communicate at an early age through temper tantrums and flatulence. His earliest (and most current) memories are of his uncanny ability to identify certain musical instruments by what they look like and by the sound they make (sometimes). During high school, he auditioned for The Marching Jazz Orchestra and successfully became the second chair harmonica player only to be beaten by his rival, section leader Phil Latio.

His ability to not know when, where, what and how to play (if at all) are his crowning achievements during this period. After high school, he became a member of the US Olympic Sleeping Team. However, his incessant snoring would wake his teammates subsequently ending his time on the team. Unfazed by that setback, he's auditioned for bands in this local area. He's been hired and promptly fired by various bands, many, if not all, of which you may never have heard of (or possibly may never have existed).

His passions include: Soprano bassoon, chocolate covered clams, unscented bathroom candles and watching paint dry. He also speaks fluent English and had a valid driver's license in Guam.

Damage Roll: 2D4. Charisma & Scheme: +4 Boost on Defense.
