NORMAN VOSKO BASS

About Norman

Norman is the senior member of Bad Idea. Born in Montreal, Canada on January 17, 1952, he grew up through the best era of music ever, the 60’s and 70’s. After seeing The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 and then at their live concert the same year in Montreal, he was hooked. Norman joined his first band, A Patch of Blue, in 1967 at 15 years old. After playing in several other local Montreal bands, he joined an “almost famous” California band called The Wackers in 1973. After mild success in Canada, Norman decided to hang up his 1973 Fender Telecaster Bass and get a real job. He was a successful business owner for over 40 years before an accidental meeting with Dan Lerro, which resulted in an audition with Bad Idea. After pleading and begging for them to let him join, they finally relented. He is considered by many of his peers to be a “mediocre” bass player, which for this band is more than adequate. He loves his wife, his kids, his grandkids, his dog and his band mates.
